Proposals for Keck engineering time should be submitted via the online proposal form well in advance of the night requested. You must have an observing account in order to submit a proposal. If you do not have an account, request for one here and it can be created for you. Engineering time requests will be reviewed by the ETAC on a quarterly basis, and time will be awarded on a competitive basis. A call for engineering proposals will typically be sent out about 2 months before the start of a new quarter, and a month before the proposal deadline. Please note that in the absence of compelling reasons for engineering use, observing time will be given back to science when it is considered the best use of telescope time.
