KECK.LRIS IRAF Package

The KECK.LRIS package contains IRAF tasks useful in the reduction of LRIS images:

cdata
go to the current LRIS data directory
multi2simple
convert LRIS images from mHDU to "simple" FITS image format
lrisdisplay
display mHDU LRIS images in ds9 under IRAF
lspecfocus
Derive best focus value from spectral-mode arc image sequence. Supports both simple and mHDU images. Also permits dividing the image into multiple sections in the dispersion direction in order to check focus variation in the wavelength axis.
check_boxes
Display image and mark location of alignment boxes. Optionally invoke lbox to complete mask alignment. Supports both red and blue sides.
do_check_boxes
A convenient front-end to check_boxes which will determines the image name and name of the box coordinates file for you. Execute this task during a mask alignment image and it will run check_boxes as soon as the image reads out. If no image is in progress, it will analyze the most recent image.
get_seeing
Measure FWHM image sizes of stars in slitmask alignment images.
do_lbox
A convenient front-end to lbox which will determines the image name and name of the box coordinates file for you. Execute this task during a mask alignment image and it will run lbox as soon as the image reads out. If no image is in progress, it will analyze the most recent image.
