Keck.LRIS IRAF Package Modified to Support Red Upgrade

Background

The keck.lris IRAF package includes several tasks to help observers complete LRIS slitmask alignment and reduce and analyze LRIS images. Due to the new multi-HDU image format introduced in the June 2009 LRIS-Red Upgrade Project, the package was completely revamped.

New and Revised Tasks

cdata
generalized to call "lrisserver" instead of "punaluu"
multi2simple
new task which can convert from mHDU to "flat" image format
lrisdisplay
new task to display mHDU LRIS images in ds9 under IRAF
lspecfocus
now supports both flat and mHDU images. Also permits dividing the image into multiple sections in the dispersion direction in order to check focus variation in the wavelength axis.
check_boxes
now supports mHDU images and calls lbox
do_check_boxes
now supports both red and blue sides
get_seeing
now supports mHDU files
do_lbox
replacement for do_xboxb
