Throughput

Background

Xavier Prochaska of UCO/Lick Observatory has assembled measurements of ESI echellette-mode throughput dating back to 2002 into a web page that features plots and tables with the following information:
  • Instrumental zero point (AB mag) for 1 e- s-1 pix-1 as a function of wavelength
  • Instrumental zero point (AB mag) for 1 e- s-1 Å-1 as a function of wavelength
  • End-to-end efficiency (throughput including telescope and instrument) as a function of wavelength
