The Keck Observatory Phasing Camera System is a Shack-Hartmann type wavefront sensor, which is permanently mounted at the left bent Cassegrain focal station of the Keck Telescope (one for each telescope). The versatility of this system comes from the ability to place a variety of optical elements at or near the exit pupil. The systms are used approximately once a month to ensure both Keck telescopes remain phased to better than 30 nm rms.
