6.2 Acquisition

6.2.2 LGS acquisition (LGS Facility)

This is a continuation of the sequence 6.2.1, "NGS acquisition (NGS Facility)".

Step 17. Turn on the laser. (This is certainly an involved process TBD)

Step 18. Identify the LGS by clicking on it. It should be obvious to the user, which star is the LGS, because the Rayleigh backscatter in the acquisition camera image will point to it.

Step 19. Reposition the LGS with respect to the SO. (We believe that this should always be directly on top of the SO.) This could be done automatically or using a software hand paddle, while watching graphical and/or coordinate feedback on the GUI.
