8.0 COORDINATE SYSTEMS
8.2 Definitions
Refer to Ref. 5 for background details on the telescope XYZ coordinate system, the pointing origin XY coordinate system, and for pictures, showing all these coordinate systems, of all the Keck I focal stations.
The adaptive optics systems will be mounted on the left Nasmyth platform of both telescopes. Figure 8-1 on page 8-2 illustrates the various coordinate systems as seen by an observer standing on the platform and looking towards the tertiary mirror.
