8.0 COORDINATE SYSTEMS

8.1 Introduction

This chapter defines a coordinate system to be used by all AO subsystems when referring to locations in the focal plane. This coordinate system is the "Pointing Origin" coordinate system which is already used by the DCS for defining the point in the focal plane at which it is supposed to be delivering the light from the program object.
