VSQ Payment Procedures / Rate Information

Payment Procedures:

Reservations: Upon filling out the VSQ reservation request form, please note that we require a credit card prior to confirmation of lodging. If you have any questions please contact:  vsq@keck.hawaii.edu.

Billing: WMKO will no longer bill on account. Visiting observer's credit cards will be charged upon check out and a receipt will be emailed to you. Hale Pohaku stays will be charged the same; however any additional charges, such as additional meals or weather gear, will be charged upon receipt of billing from Mauna Kea Support Services. An itemized receipt will be emailed to you if additional charges are made to the credit card on file after departure.

Payments: Payments may be made in person in the form of a personal or institutional check if so agreed prior to arrival. WMKO accepts Diners, JCB, MasterCard, Visa and Amex.


Rate Information:

VSQ Rates for HQ observers (effective for August 15, 2022): is $125.00 per night inclusive of taxes (meals are the responsibility of the resident).

Hale Pohaku Room Rates for contractors and working colleagues (effective Jul 1, 2021): is $190.50 per night inclusive of taxes (includes three meals beginning with Dinner and ending with Lunch).

Meals costs for daily use: Breakfast $11.50, HP Lunch $13.75, Dinner $23.25, etc.
