Everyone is invited to bring an idea on what could be the cause of the problem(s)
for the next meeting.
WD to modify T-Point analysis utility and/or telescope pointing software to
clarify the polarity of the pointing coefficients to future users.
This will be addressed upon Hilton Lewis' return.
WD and Bob Goodrich (BG) to develop a proposal for a pointing performance metric.
This pointing metric is intended to be used to objectively monitor the pointing
performance of the telescopes as a function of time.
Other matters proposed as topics at the next TPTT meeting:
Current Action Items:
The TPTT identified some significant non-repeatability in pointing data at
or near the zenith. Tom Nordin (TN) will plan and schedule a systematic check
of all telescope optic and instrument mounting interfaces (e.g., secondary
KMs, SSC mount, tertiary mirror support system, tertiary KMs, etc...) in
the coming week and report his results at a future TPTT meeting.
K1 elevation PRM/encoder calibration data will be evaluated by WD. The TPTT
will review the results prior to planning a troubleshooting effort to improve
elevation encoder performance.
Macy Wessel (MW) & Kyle will complete as-built documentation for the K1
azimuth encoder mechanical system (includes removal, installation and alignment
procedures and drawings).
MW & Kyle will propose a maintenance plan for the K1 azimuth encoder mechanical
system.
