Auto Acquistion Test Plan, K. Summers

2 hours allocated on July 6.

Test the IF auto acquisition software centering a star on ACAM using stars with different visual magnitudes, different pointing origins, and potentially with the beamSplitter in and out of position.

0. Set up auto-acq applications on waimanalo. When the servers are running, start the acq kezar logging applications as well.

1. OA moves the telescope to three different vmag 6-8 stars. Each time, use the auto-acq to center the star on the acam opt-axis. Verify that the star is visible on the WFS.

2. Repeat the test with three different vmag 9-12 stars.

3. Repeat the test with fainter stars. See how faint we can go and have the centroiding algorithm still find the correct star.

4. Select another pointing origin and repeat the acquisition process for a star in each category (vmag 6-8, 9-12, fainter.)

5. Add the beamSplitter to the AO configuration and repeat the acquisition process for a star in each category.

For all tests, record: ca/ce, cainc/ceinc, rotpposn, tvangl, tvflip, PO, fits files, centroiding information. Watch the counts on ACAM to verify integration times are good, saturation points are not met, and that the centroiding algorithm finds the correct star.
