The slitmask monitoring GUI provides information about the general status of the various DEIMOS subsystems. The following image shows slitmask monitoring GUI when a slitmasks in position for observing:

This GUI is can be used to troubleshoot issues with the slitmask selector. The flags will change color when a slitmask is in the process of being inserted or removed from the optical path. The button Retract arm can be used to retract the arm when it gets stuck in an intermediate position.
