DEIMOS Gemini Coatings

First results from application of protected silver coatings to DEIMOS in April 2005.

Reflectance Curve

The following plots compares various reflectance curves:
  • Apr 2005 Gemini protected silver on DEIMOS tent mirror (measured by Tim Saloga -- preliminary!)
  • Dec 2004 Gemini protected silver coating (measured by Lick)
  • Definitive measurement of 2001 LLNL Ag-on-Al coating applied to LRIS collimator (measured by ORA)
  • Bare Al (NIST standard)
  • Bare Ag (Allen's Astrophsyical Quantities, Table 5.21)
