The HAKA project will equip the K2 AO bench with a new 2844-actuator ALPAO deformable mirror(DM) and a new Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor (WFS) . This upgrade will reduce the atmospheric fitting error by a factor of 2.5 and also allow improved speckle nulling.
