Each Keck instrument has a primary instrument master and a secondary instrument master. The primary instrument master is in overall charge of the instrument, while the secondary serves as a backup. Both are experts at the instrument. The table below shows these assignments. Current instruments are shown in light blue, future instruments in purple. Mainland observing, and AO Operations are also included in this table. The retired NIRC and LWS instruments are shown at the end.
